British architect Foster + Partners just announced their third phase of the much-anticipated Battersea Power Station project site, a 42 acre site overlooking the Thames River in London. The team is partnered with LA-based firm Gehry Partners, where you can see the resemblance of Frank Gehry’s iconic abstract design from his previous works.
The duo will bring in a unique flavor to the neighborhood.
“Our goal from the start has been to create a neighborhood that connects into the historic fabric of the city of London, but one that has its own identity and integrate… We have tried to create humanistic environments that feel good to live in and visit.” – architect, Frank Gehry
Yup, it will be pricey, about £500,000 (at the time of the writing about $803,625) for a studio and for a four-bedrooms will cost you up to £3.2 million ($5.1 million). Worth it?
