Alicia Keys was born on January 25, 1981, in New York City, as Alicia Augello Cook. She is an only child, and her parents are Craig Cook and Teresa Augello.

Alicia’s unique beauty comes from a mix of descents. Alicia’s father is African-American, and her mother has Sicilian and Scottish descent.
