Would you spend $17.5M on a bomb shelter? This specific one, located 45 feet below the grounds in Savannah, Georgia is packed with more than the necessities you’ll need to survive a nuclear threat. Well, I guess that’s how it usually is for rich folks, right? The future of mankind is looking pretty shaky at the moment. Talk of war dominates the news on a daily basis, and nuclear fallout seems inevitable if the US and North Korea keep flexing their muscles. But don’t worry, because while most of humanity will surely perish in the ensuring fallout of nuclear war, you’ll be safe and sound in your very own luxury nuclear bomb shelter.

This $17.5M bomb shelter was renovated in 2012 from a former US army base (built in the Cold War in 1969). It is set in 32 acres of land and covers more than 14,000 feet of living space, with 3 feet-thick walls, an air intake system, a nurse’s room, decontamination showers, and a CCTV system. Oh, and it can withstand a 20 kiloton nuclear explosion too. This ridiculously expensive bunker contains four spacious apartments, each including a kitchen, a dining area, two bedrooms, a living room, and a bathroom. You should definitely be careful who you choose to live with though, as you might be down there for a very long time…
